SMMHEP was delighted to welcome three colleagues from Zomba Hospital, Malawi to Aberdeen for joint working on Risk Assessment. Consultant Psychiatrist Dr Olive Liwimbi, Clinical Officer Vincent Moyo and Senior Nursing Officer Isabell Yangairo were hosted by NHS Grampian staff in Royal Cornhill Hospital Blair Unit. A very fruitful weeks interaction has led to our colleagues from Malawi returning to Zomba to continue to work with Project Co-ordinator Jessie Kaziputa to consider how this experience can impact of clinical care in the inpatient unit in Malawi and potentially in other settings.
